If you are seeking relief from a property in your community, there are a number of options available to you. Here are some steps you can take. Make contact with the responsible party. Describe your perception of the problem, discuss how it affects you, and if there are any solutions. If the issue persists, contact our office to assist in possible resolution(s). This can be done on a confidential basis by filling out the Request for Investigation form. Print out and complete the form and then mail it in to our office. Code Compliance Inspection

If you own a property and plan to rent or you have an older home, Code B will perform a code compliance/maintenance inspection. This inspection involves checking the property for the following conditions:
1) To ensure the current building codes are enforced for the safety of the owner and future tenants. Lawsuits have resulted from owners having not been in compliance with the standards of building codes.
2) To make sure the existing systems are functioning properly. Poor electrical and plumbing issues can cost hundreds on utility bills.

Permit Verification

Code B can provide the research and create a report necessary to identify your un-permitted issue. It is best to identify your issue prior to the City getting involved. This will allow the most flexibility to resolve the issue. To verify if a property has existing permits on record, fill out the form below and submit to our office.
